Item Description
Item Name: 12"x18" Sign - Missouri / Handicapped Parking
Item Code: G-300
Item Description:
This sign is specifically for the state of Missouri. See the Missouri regulations regarding the placement and usage of this sign.
The above illustration shows the problem with using handicap parking signs made with .063" thick aluminum. .063" is roughly the thickness of a dime while .080" is closer to the thickness of a nickel. We don't sell the thinner signs for handicapped parking because they just aren't rigid enough to do the job. We only sell the industrial strength disabled parking signs that match the quality used by state and federal transportation departments across the USA.
The other illustration shows how to properly mount handicap parking signs onto "u-channel posts". The signs for handicapped parking go across the open part of the "U shape" as that wider mounting area adds stability. When disabled parking signs are mounted on the bottom of the "U shape", they are less stable and will rock in the wind which can shorten the life of the sign. Our handicap parking signs have two 5/16" diameter mounting holes. The holes are drilled 1.5" down from the top and 1.5" up from the bottom. Both holes are centered horizontally. Their spacing matches the hole spacing used on all of our u-channel and square sign posts.
What is Engineer Grade Prismatic? EGP (Engineer Grade Prismatic) is a reflective sheeting that is widely used on traffic signs. On high speed roads, you might be required to use a higher level of reflectivity (like diamond grade reflective), but EGP is ideal for low speed roads and parking lots. EGP should last 7 years before it starts fading. It has a 1 year manufacturer's guarantee. These signs for handicapped parking are made in the USA.
